Sometimes when the weekend comes, all I want to do stick in a chick flick, pull out my craft bins and get crafting! This weekend was one of those times. I pulled out the corkboard and paint, threw Julie & Julia in the DVD player and dreamed of french food while I cut out big ‘ol Texas. First I made the states and then decided to make some coasters out of the scraps! I love how they turned out. There’s something about bright colors on neutrals – gets me every time!
When I’m traveling somewhere new, you can always spot me with a camera. But I have a tendency to only take photos with people in them because I feel like those are the only ones that ever get saved. But when I happen to capture a photo here and there without people in them, sometimes they turn out pretty cool…
My super creative sister-in-law Callen started a Tumblr page called On A Whim and I am fortunate enough to be a contributor on it! Bounce on over and get inspired.
It was my Dad’s 60th birthday this year and that definitely called for a celebration! A surprise celebration with the whole family to be exact. As soon as I saw this tutorial for an awesome vintage marquee sign I knew I wanted to make a “60” and make it the focal point of the party. So I bought the materials, pulled out my exact-o knife and got to work! It was definitely a time consuming project but totally worth the outcome.
